Embodied Rest: Trauma-Sensitive Yoga for Healing and Reconnection
Brisbane & Online | Individual and Small Group Sessions (Coming soon)
At New Leaf with Nisha, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) offers a gentle, evidence-informed path for those healing from trauma, PTSD, grief, and emotional overwhelm. This practice supports nervous system regulation, rebuilds inner trust, and cultivates a felt sense of safety within your body and relationships through choice, authentic present moment experiences, and empowerment.
Unlike traditional yoga, TCTSY is not about performance or perfection. It’s about noticing, making choices, and reconnecting with your body on your own terms. Grounded in clinical research and offered with cultural humility, this somatic approach invites you to shift from survival into embodied resilience.
As a certified TCTSY facilitator and trauma-informed counsellor, I bring therapeutic presence and lived experience to each session. Whether you're seeking to process grief, restore safety, or gently return to yourself, this space honours your pace, your story, and your autonomy.
Embodied Rest may support you with:
Rebuilding a felt sense of safety and connection within your body
Gently regulating your nervous system and softening hypervigilance
Restoring your relationship with sensation, breath, and present-moment awareness
Supporting emotional integration in trauma recovery
Cultivating embodied awareness without overwhelm or re-traumatisation
