Come Home to Yourself

Online Across Australia In-Person in Brisbane

When life feels heavy whether from grief, burnout, unexpected twists & turns of life or relationship strain, New Leaf with Nisha is a space curated to pause, exhale, and reconnect with what’s been buried beneath survival.

In this compassionate space, I offer trauma-informed counselling and somatic therapy for individuals and couples navigating emotionally complex seasons. Whether you’re feeling untethered, overwhelmed, or at a crossroads, you’re not alone.

My integrative, culturally responsive approach blends talk-based counselling, body-based healing, and nervous system support. Together, we embark on a journey to restore inner safety, clarity, and connection within yourself, your relationships, and your path forward.

You don’t have to hold it all on your own.
Turn over a new leaf in your life. You can begin again.

I’m Nisha, a trauma-informed counsellor and somatic practitioner based in Brisbane, offering therapy in person and online across Australia.

I am multilingual and can facilitate sessions in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Think of it as having three different keys to open the same door so whichever language feels most natural to you, we can use it to unlock your story and help you feel understood.

Before I begin outlining what I can do as a professional, I want to say that first and foremost, I am a human just like YOU. I have lived life between love, trauma, healing, and everything in between. While my experiences may not be identical to yours, I assure you that as an empath who has travelled this road, I deeply understand the messiness of being on this wonderful planet Earth and how it can shape us in ways we may or may not recognise on our own.

I hold a special reverence for those who have survived silently. I see your endurance not as pathology but as brilliance. It is my honour to walk alongside you as you shift from high-functioning survival into a steadier, more connected way of being.

I support individuals and self-aware couples through emotionally complex seasons, including grief, burnout, relational strain, and major life transitions. My approach is shaped by lived experience, cultural humility, and deep respect for the layers we carry as human beings.

Using a calm, integrative approach, I combine evidence-based counselling modalities, somatic practices, and relational presence to support nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and meaningful change at a pace that honours your needs.

You deserve a space that sees your wholeness and holds your story with care.

My intention is to help you feel more at home within yourself and your relationships, so you can move forward with clarity, care, and a renewed sense of possibility.

At New Leaf with Nisha, I offer a grounded space to nurture your well-being, support authentic connection, and inspire personal growth.

My approach empowers you to come home to yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move through life with greater clarity, emotional safety, trust and purpose.

  • I see you as a whole person, not just stories or symptoms. Together, we explore how your emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual experiences shape your feelings, healing, and connections. This approach honors all parts of you, promoting understanding and growth toward well-being.

  • Healing starts in safe relationships, with others and yourself. Together, we’ll explore early attachment wounds and build your trust, emotional safety, and connection. As my client, you are the expert of your life. I honour your insight, pace, and readiness as we explore relational patterns with care.

  • I create a warm and supportive environment where you don’t have to perform, fix anything, or prove yourself. This is your space to breathe and simply be, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and what truly resonates with you. You are welcome here just as you are.

  • We go beyond talk therapy. I integrate somatic counselling, body-based practices, and nervous system education to help you regulate, release, and reconnect with your innate sense of emotional safety.

  • Your story, identity and lived experiences matter. I practice with cultural humility and an awareness that healing is never one-size-fits-all. You are the expert of your own experience, and your voice leads the way.

My Holistic Counselling Approach

TRAUMA IS NOT A DISEASE;

It’s a protective and adaptive response to past experiences.

The impact of trauma can leave lasting imprints on our emotions, thoughts, bodies, sense of self, and relationships, often shaping how we navigate the present, even without conscious awareness.
