Come Home to Yourself
Trauma-Informed Counselling & Somatic Therapy
Available Online & Brisbane
When you’re carrying more than you should, whether it's grief & loss, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or relationship strain, this is a place to pause, breathe, and gently reconnect.
At New Leaf with Nisha, I offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed counselling and somatic therapy for individuals and couples navigating life transitions, relational challenges, and nervous system dysregulation.
My integrative approach blends evidence-based psychotherapy, body-mind practices, and trauma-sensitive care grounded in cultural humility and deep respect for your lived experience.
Together, we support nervous system regulation, rebuild emotional safety, and gently restore connection with yourself, your body, and the relationships that matter most.
You don’t have to hold it all alone.
Growth begins with a single, steady, courageous step.
Turn over a new leaf and begin again, with support.

PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor · Somatic Practitioner · Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator
I’m a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor, Somatic Practitioner, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator specialising in relational trauma, nervous system healing, and life transitions.
Healing happens through connection to ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. When we feel safe to be who we are, we begin to soften, shift what’s been holding us back, reconnect, and grow.
We don’t heal in isolation. Humans are born into relationships, and we grow, hurt, and heal within them. Experiences of grief, stress, disconnection, and trauma can leave behind invisible patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. My role is to support you in cultivating a safe, compassionate relationship within your mind, body, and heart so you can move forward with emotional safety, self-trust, integrity, and choice.
I offer trauma-informed counselling and somatic therapy for individuals and couples, weaving evidence-based talk therapy, mindfulness, body-based practices, and trauma-sensitive yoga. My integrative approach honours your pace, your story, and your readiness grounded in cultural humility, presence, and deep respect for your lived experience.
My heartfelt intention is to inspire and empower you to live with emotional safety, inner certainty, and purpose, creating lasting, compassionate ripples in your life, relationships, and the world around you.

My Holistic Counselling Approach
Trauma-informed. Somatic. Whole-person care.
Every part of you is welcome here. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.
-
I meet you as a whole human, not a story or symptom. Together, we explore how your emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual experiences shape how you feel, heal, and connect.
-
Healing begins in relationship. I support you to gently explore attachment wounds, rebuild trust, and strengthen your capacity for meaningful, secure connections.
As my client, “you are the expert of your life…” My work honours your insight, pace, and readiness as we navigate relational patterns together with curiosity and care. -
I bring emotional steadiness and deep presence during our sessions. What I offer is grounded in integrity and embodied awareness, creating a space where you can feel safe, respected, and gently held without pressure or performance.
-
We go beyond talk therapy. I integrate somatic counselling, body-based practices, and nervous system education to help you regulate, release, and reconnect with your innate sense of emotional safety.
-
Your story, identity and lived experiences matter. I practice with cultural humility and an awareness that healing is never one-size-fits-all. You are the expert of your own experience, and your voice leads the way.
TRAUMA IS NOT A DISEASE;
It’s a protective and adaptive response to past experiences.
The impact of trauma can leave lasting imprints on our emotions, thoughts, bodies, sense of self, and relationships, often shaping how we navigate the present, even without conscious awareness.
