Online Counselling Across Australia
Online Trauma-Informed Counselling Across Australia
Online counselling offers a way to access therapeutic support wherever you live in Australia. New Leaf with Nisha is based in Brisbane, with sessions offered by secure video to adults across metropolitan, regional and remote areas.
People may seek online counselling with me for experiences including grief and loss, relational difficulties, burnout and emotional overwhelm, fertility and reproductive experiences, cultural or family pressures, and significant life transitions. These areas are explored more fully within Individual Counselling rather than repeated here.
Online sessions can be particularly useful when location, work, caregiving, health or other circumstances make travelling to appointments difficult. Working from a familiar environment can also allow you to consider what privacy, comfort and support you need around the therapeutic space.
What online counselling with New Leaf with Nisha looks like?
• counselling delivered through secure video
• available to clients across Australia, including regional and remote communities
• sessions available in English, Hindi and Gujarati
• individual counselling and relationship counselling available online
• somatic awareness can be included where relevant and chosen, without requiring yoga experience or special equipment
If you would like to understand the experiences and patterns I commonly work with in more depth, you can explore Individual Counselling.
Can somatic therapy be included in online counselling?
Yes. Somatic therapy can be included in online counselling where it is relevant to what we are exploring and you would like to include it. This might involve noticing sensation, posture, movement, breath, orientation or other aspects of your present-moment experience. There is no requirement to use body-based practices, and you can pause, adapt or decline an invitation at any time.
The Place Where Therapy Happens
Working from your own environment can also create opportunities to notice your surroundings differently. The spaces we inhabit often hold routines, memories, pressures, comforts, and ways of being that can become so familiar they fade into the background.
At times, therapy can invite reflection on what is happening within you, and in your relationship with the environments in which you live, work, rest, and connect.
