Guided by cultural humility and a deep respect for individuality, Nisha creates a safe and nurturing environment for you to explore your emotions and experiences. You’ll rebuild trust, repair connections, and work toward meaningful change.
Growth begins with a single step. Turn over a new leaf and uncover the strength within to transform and thrive.
Meet Nisha Trivedi
‘she/her’
Counsellor. Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator.
As a PACFA Reg. Clinical Counsellor, Meditation Teacher, and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator, I specialise in relational trauma. I believe that living a meaningful, intentional, and fulfilling life—rooted in connection to oneself, relationships, and the wider community—is at the heart of human existence.
We are not islands; our lives and relationships, including the ones we hold with ourselves, are deeply interconnected. Life’s highs and lows can leave us with invisible wounds that shape how we navigate the world. My role is to support you in cultivating a healthy and compassionate relationship with your mind, body, heart, and self. Together, we’ll work toward healing what holds you back, empowering you to experience safety, trust, choice, and collaboration—so you can feel fully alive and awake in your life.
I work with individuals and couples using a blend of evidence-based modalities, psychotherapy skills, body-mind practices, and a deeply compassionate approach.
Services
My services are offered Australia-wide, internationally and all online, which means you can have all your therapy sessions from the comfort of your home or wherever you are, with the assurance of a secure and private video platform.
-
Individual Counselling
Growth is natural. In a supportive, collaborative process, we’ll explore your patterns and responses, enhancing emotional awareness, regulation, and self-confidence. Together, we’ll open pathways to well-being, helping you create a more meaningful life.
-
Relationship Counselling
Your relationship can be a source of love, connection, and safety. In a supportive, non-judgmental space, I help couples navigate challenges, repair conflict cycles, and rediscover intimacy, fostering mutual understanding, emotional connection, and a fulfilling partnership.
-
Remote Therapy
Remote therapy offers accessible, flexible support for those in remote areas or who travel often. With my migration experience, I understand the loneliness and challenges of adapting to new environments. I’m here to help you build connections, navigate change, and foster personal growth.
-
Trauma Sensitive Yoga
As a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator, I provide a safe, supportive space for embodied healing. This approach integrates somatic practices, mindfulness, and evidence-based therapies to support reconnection to your body, mind, and self.
At New Leaf with Nisha, I provide a safe space to cultivate connection, nurture your well-being, and inspire growth—empowering you to reconnect with your authentic self and foster meaningful relationships.
My Holistic Approach
-
I focus on your goals, using a whole-person approach that recognises your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being alongside your mental health.
-
As my client, "You're the expert of your life…" I aim to remain empathetic, attentive, respectful, reliable, and authentic during sessions to collaborate with you and work as a team to elicit the change you seek.
-
Human beings have an innate need to feel safe and secure with those closest to us; without it, we are in distress. I aim to gently support you in increasing your sense of safety, rebuilding trust, and enhancing empowerment.
-
I recognise that each individual's journey is unique. Based on your choices and individual needs, I can create a personalised supportive space by integrating talk therapy and somatic practices to guide you on your recovery and personal growth.
TRAUMA IS NOT A DISEASE;
It’s a protective and adaptive response to past experiences.
The impact of trauma can leave lasting imprints on our emotions, thoughts, bodies, sense of self, and relationships, often shaping how we navigate the present, even without conscious awareness.
